Interesting and frustrating things happened today, and again with a homeless person, in the parking lot of a major grocery store. Actually, this guy I would call half homeless with a good business plan, as obviously got his game down pat. As I was walking to my car, he approached me and asked politely if I could spare .15 for a timbit as he used his thumb & finger gesturing to emphasize a small size which made me wonder that a timbit (small donut) costs only 15 cents and really that’s all he needs.
Of I course I had earlier been googling what items would be good to put in a care package with Homeless Ian in mind, and it had mentioned beef jerky. So from the top of my head I asked him if he would like a beef jerky and he said no, just wanted to get off his feet sit in Tim Hortons with a timbit, as he hadn’t eaten in two days. I asked him his name and he said it’s Timothy or call him Tim. Too funny…Tim wants a timbit from Tim Hortons…he should have a sign.
